The Right Principle. The Wrong Tools (For Now).
No membership. No leadership structure. No correct way to participate. No hierarchy. No tithing. No headquarters.
Fellowship is real. Community matters. Belonging is a human need — one that gets exploited by institutions precisely because it is so fundamental.
This project is not against community. It is against the version of community that extracts compliance as the price of belonging.
What we are pointing toward is something closer to what the early communities seem to have had before the institutional machinery arrived: people seeking together, without a hierarchy determining who is in and who is out, without doctrine as membership test, without fear as the binding agent.
Decentralization is the right principle.
No single authority. No platform owner deciding who speaks. No middleman between you and the people you actually want to learn from. Conversations that aren't tuned by an algorithm whose job is your anxiety.
All of that is correct. None of that is optional, long-term.
The current implementations are not good enough.
The Fediverse is closer than what came before. It is still not it. Mastodon servers depend on a single admin's mood, funding, and infrastructure. Discovery is broken. Onboarding is hostile. Most instances quietly federate with the same handful of centralized hubs that recreate the exact dynamics the design was supposed to escape.
Other platforms — including the one I currently post on — are openly centralized. I use @Anarchrist33 because that is where the conversation is, not because that is where the conversation should be.
Do not mistake "the place I can be heard" for "the place that is healthy." Those are different things, and the second one does not exist yet at scale.
So what do we do until the tools catch up?
Read the manifesto. Test what it says against your own conscience. If it rings true, you already have everything you need to begin. The work was never going to be on a platform. The work happens between you and the silence inside.

The Warning, Again
If this project ever develops controlling membership structures, hierarchical leadership that demands deference, doctrinal tests for belonging, or any mechanism that makes you feel your conscience requires their approval —
treat that as a warning sign.
Not a feature. A failure.
The goal is a signal fire — not a new enclosure. Not a Discord server, not a paid newsletter tier, not an inner circle. You are not looking for a leader here. You are not looking for a tribe here. You are looking for the thing inside you that does not need either.
