“Do what thou wilt” assumes the will is yours. It usually isn’t.

The wanting was installed. Advertising shaped it before you could read. The feed picks what you think about today. The culture handed you a script and told you it was your personality.

So answer the prior question first: whose will are you doing?

God’s? The system’s? The crowd’s? Your fear’s?

Until you have traced where a want came from, “your” will is only the residue of what was put in you. Acting on it freely is not freedom. It is a puppet handed a longer leash.

Cut the strings first. Then do what thou wilt.
